Jags in Slough's bills went from £2,000 a year to £0, plus an earning of £500. Get in touch to see what we could do for your home or business — designed and fitted by our own MCS-certified engineers.
We visit your property, assess your roof, electrics and energy use, and give you a written quote within 5 working days. No call-centre chasing.
Our in-house design engineers size your system around your bills and requirements — not a one-size-fits-all package. You see the panel layout, inverter, battery and projected savings before you commit.
The engineers who quote your job are the ones who install it. MCS-certified, fully insured, and backed by a 10-year workmanship warranty alongside the manufacturer warranties.
Generate your own electricity and store the surplus. Our typical 6kW solar PV domestic system pays back in 5–7 years and keeps generating for 25+. We install Sigenergy, SunSynk, Fox, MyEnergi, Tesla, and other top battery storage brands. From £6,500
Up to 4× more efficient than a gas boiler. We're MCS-certified for air-source heat pumps and handle the BUS grant paperwork (£7,500 off) for you.
MyEnergi Zappi, Ohme, Hypervolt and more. Domestic installs from £699; commercial workplace charging with smart load balancing for fleets.
Decades of engineering experience for unusual problems — like the wireless charging system we built for the MARV agricultural robot. Off-grid, agricultural, commercial, custom.

A standard 4kW domestic solar PV system in the UK typically costs £5,500 to £7,500 fully installed in 2026, including panels, inverter, mounting, electrical work, and DNO notification. VAT is 0% on residential installations until at least March 2027. Prices have fallen roughly 30% since 2021 and are still trending down.
Adding battery storage typically increases the upfront cost by £3,000 to £5,000.
The length of time it takes to install solar panels depends on the size of the system and the complexity of the installation. Typically, residential installations take 3-5 days while commercial installations can take several weeks.
In most cases, no. All four technologies are covered by permitted development rights in England, and the rules have been progressively relaxed through 2024 and 2025 to make installation easier. You'll only need planning permission if your property is a listed building, in a conservation area, AONB, National Park or World Heritage Site, or your installation exceeds the size limits currently permitted without specific planning permission.
The Smart Export Guarantee is a UK government scheme that requires large electricity suppliers — those with more than 150,000 customers — to pay you for surplus renewable electricity you export to the National Grid.
SEG rates in 2026 range from around 1p/kWh at the worst end to 25p/kWh at the best, depending on supplier and tariff type. For a typical 4kW solar system without a battery — generating roughly 3,400 kWh per year and exporting around 1,500–2,000 kWh — you could earn anywhere from £60 to £400 per year.
In most cases, yes — but with caveats. Modern panels are far more capable than they were a decade ago, and many roofs once dismissed as unsuitable are now viable. North-facing roofs typically produce 50–60% of what an equivalent south-facing roof would generate, and partial shading can usually be managed with the right inverter and panel placement. The honest answer for any specific property is "it depends" — which is why we always do a free site survey before quoting.
Shading reduces output more than poor orientation does — and shading even a single panel can affect a whole string of panels if the wrong inverter is used. The good news is modern technology handles partial shading much better than older systems:
For any roof with chimney shadows, neighbouring trees, dormers, or buildings nearby, optimisers or microinverters are usually well worth the extra cost.
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme is a UK government grant programme run by Ofgem on behalf of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ). It pays a one-off contribution towards the cost of installing a low-carbon heating system — a heat pump, heat battery, or in some cases a biomass boiler — to replace an existing fossil fuel or non-heat-pump electric heating system. The scheme launched in May 2022 and has been extended to 2030.
The grant is paid upfront — as MCS installers, we apply on your behalf and deduct the grant from your invoice before you pay. You never have to wait for reimbursement.
The current grant amount is £7,500 for an air source heat pump (air-to-water).
Temporary uplift for oil and LPG households: From July 2026 to March 2027, the air source heat pump grant is expected to increase from £7,500 to £9,000 for homes and small businesses in England and Wales that currently rely on heating oil or LPG. This is a limited-time uplift — worth acting on if you're in that group.
The core eligibility rules are straightforward:
You contact us first — not the manufacturer. As your installer, we handle the entire warranty claim process on your behalf: diagnosing the fault, liaising with the manufacturer, sourcing the replacement, and reinstalling it. You shouldn't have to deal with paperwork or international phone calls. We aim to have any in-warranty replacement installed within 2–4 weeks of fault diagnosis, and any out-of-warranty repair quoted within 5 working days.
Every quote we provide includes panels, inverter, mounting hardware, all electrical work, DNO notification, MCS certification, scaffolding, and commissioning — with no hidden extras. We provide a written system specification with expected annual generation in kWh and full warranty details so you can compare us against any other installer like-for-like.
For a free quote please fill out the form or get in touch via email or telephone. We'll respond within 48 hours.
